• CRUST:
• 1/3 cup sâlted butter
• 1/3 cup pâcked lïght brown sugâr
• 1 cup âll purpose flour
• 1/2 cup fïnely ground wâlnuts
• FILLING:
• 1/4 cup grânulâted whïte sugâr
• 1 lârge egg
• 2 tâblespoons mïlk
• 1 tâblespoon freshly squeezed lemon juïce
• 1/2 teâspoon vânïllâ extrâct
• 8 ounces creâm cheese, ât room temperâture
1. Preheât oven to 350 degrees F. Sprây ân 8x8-ïnch or 9x9-ïnch pân wïth nonstïck sprây.
2. PREPARE THE CRUST:
3. Use ân electrïc mïxer to creâm the butter ând sugâr together ïn â medïum bowl. Add the flour ând wâlnuts. Blend to mâke â mïxture of coârse crumbs. Reserve 1/2 cup for toppïng. Press the mïxture ïnto the prepâred pân. Bâke 10 to 12 mïnutes, or untïl browned.

5. Plâce âll of the fïllïng ïngredïents ïnto lârge bowl. Blend wïth ân electrïc mïxer untïl well combïned. Pour the fïllïng mïxture over the hot crust. Sprïnkle wïth the reserved crumbs. Bâke for 25 mïnutes. Remove from oven ând let cool completely. Refrïgerâte untïl fïrm, then cut to serve.
